Structured Cabling & LAN
A clean, labelled and tested physical network: the foundation that makes everything else more reliable.
What this service covers
Most recurring network complaints trace back to poor cabling: loose terminations, mixed standards, unlabelled ports and untested runs. Good passive infrastructure is invisible; bad infrastructure keeps costing you.
We plan routes and port counts with you, terminate to standard, test every link and leave you with labelled outlets and a port map.
What's included
- Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A structured cabling for offices, campuses and industrial sites
- Cable routing with conduits, trunking and faceplates
- I/O (information outlet) punching and patch panel termination
- Rack dressing, cable management and port labelling
- Site surveys, cable planning and port mapping
- Certification-style cable testing and test reports
- Re-cabling and clean-up of legacy, messy installations
Exact scope, product models, licensing, timelines and warranty are confirmed during requirement assessment. Third-party subscriptions and spare parts are quoted separately where applicable.

New office fit-out
Plan outlet density for desks, printers, access points, cameras and future growth.
Messy legacy network
Trace, label and re-terminate so faults can be found in minutes, not days.
Adding capacity
Extend existing runs and racks without disrupting live users.
Deliverables you can rely on
- Port map / cable schedule
- Test results for installed links
- Labelled outlets and patch panels
- As-built notes for the installation

Questions about Structured Cabling & LAN
Cat6 or Cat6A: which should we choose?
Cat6 handles 1 Gbps comfortably and 10 Gbps over shorter runs (roughly up to 55 m). Cat6A supports 10 Gbps over the full 100 m channel and handles interference better, at a higher material and installation cost. We recommend based on your applications and expected growth.
What is the maximum length of a LAN cable run?
For copper Ethernet the channel limit is 100 m, usually planned as up to 90 m of permanent link plus patch cords. Longer distances need switches or fibre.
Do you test the cabling you install?
Yes. Every link is tested and any failures are corrected before handover. Test details are shared with you.
